    Los Angeles - Life After Prostate Cancer Surgery


    The USC Institute of Urology will host monthly meetings for men and their significant others who are scheduled (or recently treated) for prostate cancer surgery. At these meetings, you will receive information which will help you prepare for your prostate cancer treatment and recovery. Meetings will be held from 6:00 - 7:30 pm and will begin with a reception from 6 - 6:30 pm. Complimentary food will be provided. Meetings will be held in the Catherine and Joseph Aresty Conference Center, Room LG 500 in the Norris Cancer Center located at 1441 Eastlake Avenue, Los Angeles.     Berkeley - FREE Prostate Cancer Screenings


    The Albert C. and Bertha P. Markstein Cancer Education and Prevention Services & the Alta Bates Summit Comprehensive Cancer Center host monthly free prostate cancer screenings for African American men between the ages of 50-70. This is a free, one-time only, prostate cancer screening exam. Men being screened are also asked to complete a survey and will be paid $30 for their time.     Prostate Cancer Screenings and Treatment

If you have received your screening results and are need of prostate cancer treatment, please call the IMPACT Program at 1-800-409-8252 to find out if you are eligible to enroll in the Program.

    Partners Network for Prostate Cancer


    The Riverside Medical Foundation is forming a new support group for the partners of men with prostate cancer. The group is designed for partners of newly diagnosed men, partners of men undergoing care, and partners of men who have received treatment.
